You’ll find several beaches around Lake Ledro’s 10 km-long coastline, each with slightly different characteristics. All of them offer the opportunity to cool off in the waters of this splendid Alpine lake: but which one should you choose for a relaxing day in Valle di Ledro? Let's see where the most beautiful beaches of Lake Ledro are and what they are like.
Pur Beach
Let's start with Pur beach, in the southern part of the lake. This is a quiet beach, very popular with those looking for relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle. This does not mean that the beach doesn’t have services - a restaurant and bars are just steps away.
Furthermore, Pur beach also has a playground, perfect for younger children, and it’s the main pet-friendly beach in Lake Ledro, as a portion of the beach is dedicated to dogs. That's not all - a few minutes' walk away is the Ledro Land Art trail, winding through nature and hosting site-specific works in dialogue with the surrounding environment.
Remo's advice
Do you know what makes Pur beach special?
There is a wakeboard cable here, to give you the opportunity to try out this exciting water sport. Standing on a board, you can fly just above the water, pulled by the so-called "cable", and even try some tricks in the air!
The Ledro lake park has structures that allow you to try out different tricks, along with others designed for those who are already experts at wakeboarding. Would you like to try wakeboarding or SUP on the waters of Lake Ledro? Then you should know that those staying at Residence Toli, Casa Lucia or B&B Fattoria della Patty will get special discounts at the Be Wake park in Pur!
Pieve di Ledro beach
Let’s move to the beach in the north-western part of Lake Ledro, a few steps from the historic center of Pieve. Wide and green, gently sloping, this beach is particularly loved by families, similarly to the Besta Beach you’ll find below. There are many services, all close by - within easy reach you’ll find a restaurant, a bar, an ice-cream shop, a supermarket, a pedal boat rental shop, a playground and even a mini golf course.
Molina di Ledro beach in Besta
Also called Besta beach, the Molina di Ledro beach – not far from the Pile-Dwelling Museum – stands out from the other beaches of Lake Ledro for its size and exposure to the sun. Those looking for a tan head here, as do many families looking for a gently sloping seabed. There is also no shortage of services, from a kayak rental shop to a bar, and even a beach volleyball court.
Mezzolago Beach
Let’s end our list of the main beaches of Lake Ledro with Mezzolago, located in the northern part of the lake. Small and intimate, it’s possible to rent pedal and rowing boats. The closest beach to the Crosina Holiday facilities is Pieve. Casa Lucia is located just 100 meters from the shores of the lake, making it easy to walk there, while Residence Toli is only 600 meters from the beach.
